Santorini, a crescent shaped island, is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC. Its distinct and exquisite shape of the island came from that volcanic eruption. There are multiple whitewashed, cubiform houses in the islands 2 principal towns, Fira and Oia. The buildings overlook the sea, small islands to the west and their beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles. This island has lots of great things to do like go on a boat tour, watch the sunset from Oia, walk out to Skaros Rock, or even go wine tasting.
